Term 2 in Primary 6/7

Primary 6/7 have had a very exciting start to Term 2, moving to a new building. We had a visitor waiting for us - Teeth the Robot who spent the morning with us. That was an interesting and fun start to our term.

We have settled into the new building and are enjoying exploring it.

We have a busy term ahead of us, looking at Natural and Man-Made Disasters for our topic and researching some of these disasters. We will be learning about some of them by completing some practical activities in our critical skills challenges.

In RME, we will be looking at how countries in Europe celebrate Christmas and if/how it differs from how we celebrate it in Britain.

Primary 6 will be looking at Energy Sources in Science, as will Primary 7, revising what we learned in Primary 6 and developing our knowledge of fossil fuels.

David from Reid Kerr is still coming in once a week to work with us on further developing our ICT skills. We will be doing a lot of research on Natural and Man-Made Disasters and on developing our word processing skills.

Primary 6 have just completed our swimming block and Miss Breslin is proud of how much we achieved during this time.

Primary 7 will be getting curling lessons at Braehead and we have had a trial run at it already. This has made us feel really excited about going and we can't wait to start.

As Christmas is coming up, we will soon be completing a craft activity which we will then sell at the Christmas Fayre to our parents and friends. We will be participating in the Christmas Concert and Miss Breslin has chosen a really fun song for us to sing at it. We can't wait to start rehearsing it and performing it to our audience.

We hope the fun continues!
