Sneak Preview

Showtime

We're very excited about our topic this term: The School Show. We've been learning all about life in 1920's America: investigating immigration, women's fashion and equality and jazz music. Our coop teams have put their creative skills to the test by designing Flappers using a choice of media. Some of us painted and glittered; while some of us coloured and sequenced. We thought we would give you a sneak preview of what we've done so far. If you're coming along to see Thoroughly Modern Millie next month, then you'll catch our fantastic Jazz PowerPoint's at the interval.

In addition to The School Show, Primary 7 are also working hard on their transisition topic: Saudi Arabia. Each week Primary 7 come togeher to explore people in this society. Paul and Maggie have been visiting P7 each week to support us in our move to high school. We are all really looking forward to moving on and the advice we receive from transition is making us feel more at ease about timetabling and finding our way.

Meanwhile, Primary 6 have been enjoying taking part in Cycling Proficiency. Miss McCurdy and Miss Paterson have been very impressed with our starting off and left hand turns. We know that we need to be very careful on our bikes and we look forward to learning more skills so that we can cycle safely on the road in the future.

It's a very busy last term for Primary 6/7, but we know how to multitask. Some things we are looking forward to are:

Renfrew High Induction            29th and 30th May (Primary 7)
School Show                            5th and 6th June (Primary 6 & 7)
Class Assembly                        14th June (Primary 6 & 7)
Sports Day                               19th June (Primary 6 & 7)
Leavers' Assembly                   26th June (Primary 7)
Leavers' Dance                        24th June (Primary 7)

Let's hope we get some warm weather so that we can enjoy some safe fun in the sun this term.
